I\u2019ve seen brilliant developers get blocked for weeks because they felt they \u201cshould have known\u201d something from day one. My job is to detect those signals early and create an environment where asking for help is as natural as committing code.<\/p>\n
The magic lies in finding the perfect balance between challenge and support.<\/strong> Too easy, and they don\u2019t grow. Too hard, and they get frustrated. Everyone has their own pace, and part of our art as leaders is to constantly calibrate that tension.<\/p>\n We always put the value of the team above individual contributions. As a Senior Squad, I work alongside other seniors to build teams that go beyond the sum of individuals. We meet constantly, share knowledge without ego, and adjust strategies on the fly. Leading by example without becoming a code fundamentalist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve learned that sometimes the best technical guidance is showing vulnerability. Saying \u201cI\u2019m not sure about this approach, let\u2019s test it together\u201d creates more learning than giving absolute answers. Juniors need to see that even seniors experiment, make mistakes, and pivot.<\/p>\n True technical mentoring is about teaching how to think, not just how to implement<\/strong>. That\u2019s why in our teams we encourage technical discussions, code reviews as conversations, and experiments as learning methods.<\/p>\n Everything I\u2019ve described only works if there\u2019s genuine passion behind it.
